Morocco’s campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup has already produced one of the tournament’s early success stories, with teenage midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi earning a place in Opta’s Team of the Opening Round.
The 18-year-old received the recognition after a standout performance in Morocco’s 1-1 draw against Brazil on June 13. Making his first appearance at a World Cup, Bouaddi showed remarkable composure and maturity while competing against one of international football’s most accomplished sides.
